IELTS Registration
Below you will find registration procedures for the IELTS tests. The next IELTS test session in Guatemala is proposed for 8 and 9 October 2009. NOTE: The test capacity is full now. Please be aware to upcoming dates for next year. please contact us if you have any questions.
COST
The cost of the IELTS test in Guatemala is US$280 (American Dollars). This price includes test procedures, examiner fee and logistics costs.
To register for IELTS, simply follow these six steps:
1 Email Patricia Lemus with the following information:
- Full name (as in your passport)
- Date of Birth
- Address
- Contact Telephone Numbers
- Email Address
- Whether you are applying for the *General Training or ^Academic test.
* General training is usually for employment or emigration overseas.
^ Academic tests are usually for study overseas.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you apply for the correct test.
NOTE: Your place will only be confirmed when you have received an email from Patricia Lemus confirming that your place has been reserved.
2 Download the following documents:

3 Read the Information for Candidates attached to the application form.
4 Complete the application form and enclose the following:
· Two passport size colour photos (not older than 6 months)
· A photocopy of your valid Passport or local Identity Card (candidates, whose nationality is not Guatemalan, have to provide a copy of their passport)
NOTE – The Computer-based test is not available in Guatemala.
5 Please note that we do not accept application forms by Email or Fax, you should send the completed documents by hand or by courier to the British Embassy Guatemala City.

Payment Procedures:
* Guatemalan applicants:
In cash (only American Dollars) at the British Embassy offices.
* El Salvador and Honduras applicants:
Regional deposit to the British Embassy Account (4-634742-0) at Citibank.
NOTE: Payments by Guatemalan residents must be done when delivering your application form to the Embassy. Applicants from El Salvador and Honduras should send a copy of the deposit with their application form.
CONFIRMATION
If you have been pre registered to the IELTS exam in Guatemala and are still interested in sitting the exam on October 8-9 2009, we need to receive your payment & application form AT LEAST 3 WEEKS BEFORE THE TEST. We always have more applicants than places are available. Therefore failure to pay my result in your place being offered to another applicant.

TEST LOCATION AND TIMINGS
Tests will be held in Zone 10 of Guatemala City. Registered applicants will be sent confirmed test centre details and timings one week before the exam.

NOTE – it is not possible for the examiner to carry out the oral (speaking) exam for all applicants on the same day. In an effort to avoid additional accommodation charges for candidates from outside Guatemala, applicants from outside Guatemala City will be given strict priority for the oral tests.
